The heat from this winter sun
wraps around my neck
like your close embrace
The mist so thick
that the mountain edges fade
into the pale blue sky
So much beauty that
I have to catch my breath
or I might miss it
My feet tingle as I were
wading slowly into an ocean
stepping gingerly over
smooth rocks and pebbles
Now knee-deep, diving in,
refreshed not by water
but your immense love.
